In partnership with the Associate Dean for Research we are pleased to offer Community-Academic Research Partnership Funds to advance collaborations between SPH researchers with community partners in Providence and Rhode Island.  

This funding opportunity is intended to:

• Connect

  research expertise to a community-originated inquiry around a topic relevant to local public health efforts and interests.

• Support

  the creation and delivery of tangibly useful tools for community health efforts resulting from research; or

• Strengthen

  existing relationships anticipated to lead toward further funding opportunities for public health research locally.

• If you’re interested in sharing your work with the School of Public Health’s Community Advisory Board, raising a research or partnership question for feedback, or learning about ongoing efforts with local leaders, email sphcommunityengagement@brown.edu to schedule a time to join a CAB agenda.

Occasionally community organizations reach out to extend an invited speaker request to faculty with particular interest and expertise, so that they may inform local efforts/audiences about their work or specialty topic area.
